Dr.Bilal Azakir is an Assistant Professor of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Beirut Arab University. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Montreal and moved to Montreal Neurological Institute at McGill University, Canada and later to University Hospital of Basel in Switzerland, where his research focused on muscular dystrophies for which he received funds from many international organizations. He participated in teaching basic sciences and monitoring research projects for students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr Bilal is specialized also in Bioethics and has many projects on Bioethics guideline application in Lebanon.
