Nader Azab is an associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture; Design & Built Environment, Beirut Arab University. Lebanon. He holds a Ph.D. from Portland State USA, majoring in environmental planning and design. He has been practicing architecture and urban planning since 1984 through his private firm “Azab and Ayyad … Architects & Planners” and teaching at several universities in the GCC region. New York Institute of Technology, Bahrain Univ., Zayed University and Alexandria Univ. are just some places that he has been affiliated with. Through his firm he won some architectural competitions and carried out some research grants for the Egyptian government. Dr. Azab has several publications in the fields of environmental policy and human behavior. Recently, he has interests in Arabic calligraphy as an artistic endeavor. He joined the 2012 Dubai faculty art show, the 2012 Architecture, culture and spirituality symposium IV, workshop in Chechen Itza, Mexico.. In 2015, he had a solo exhibition in Portland Oregon, USA.
