Saroj Jayasinghe MBBS, MD(Colombo), MD(Bristol), MRCP(UK), FRCP (London), FCCP and PhD(Colombo). His PhD is for the thesis on “Poverty, Ill-Health and Social Welfare Policies: A Study of the Urban Poor in Sri Lanka”. He is the Professor of Medicine of the University of Colombo and a Consultant Physician at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. He is a member of the Science Committee, Urban Health and Wellbeing Program (International Science Council), and of the National Health Research Council of Sri Lanka. His research interests include dengue, air pollution and application of systems science to population health, urban health, and to clinical medicine.
